A loan helped to buy thread in different colors.

Nirma Carmelina's story

Nirma is an enterprising and responsible woman, with a desire to go forward. She is single and 24 years old, and she lives with her parents in the village of Pachitur.

To help her parents, Nirma started a business making woven güipiles (traditional dress with an embroidered blouse and wrap skirt). This work has given her the opportunity to earn an income and to become known in the community as a small businesswoman.

Seeing that it is near the end-of-year season, she wants to increase her inventory of güipiles. To achieve this goal, she needs to invest in the business. For this, she has come to the ADICLA organization to request a loan to invest in buying thread in different colors. This will help her to have güipiles on hand for women of her homeland.
