A loan helped to buy materials for uniforms.

Obed's story

Obed, is the founder member and sole proprietor of the tailoring business which he established in 2020.

He started the business with just one domestic machine. Over time, he successfully expanded his operations, eventually employing four staff members after securing a significant contract to supply lab coats to a large hospital. This contract allowed him to purchase industrial machines to enhance production.

In 2023, he opened a second branch in Solwezi, where he has since relocated and now employs five additional staff members.

With funding received from AMZ, he plans to stock up on materials, as contractors are no longer paying a percentage to facilitate material purchases. Instead, they are now expected to provide their materials and supply finished products on demand.
