Pellital Reobe Group's story

Penda, is the leader of the group "Pellital Reobe", which means "committed women". The group consists of 19 hard-working, dynamic women. They have strong bonds and work at raising livestock and reselling the animals at the weekly town markets.

Penda is 45, uneducated, married, and the mother of 2 children, age 13 and 16, both of whom are in school. She is active and experienced in livestock farming, which she has been doing for 11 years, just like the other members of the group.

This loan will allow Penda to buy more livestock, and with the profit generated, somewhere between 50,000 and 60,000 XOF, she will help her husband meet the family's expenses, such as education and health care costs.
