Patricia was thrilled to join Kiva as staff in 2010, having already supported Kiva as a lender and volunteer. She now manages Kiva's program of online volunteers who provide pre-publication translation, editing, and review of Kiva loans. A believer in the power of volunteers, Patricia is inspired every day by the hundreds of skilled volunteer editors and translators who bring Kiva borrowers' stories to the world. Before coming to Kiva, Patricia coordinated volunteers and managed a bilingual newsletter for Second Harvest Japan and worked as Coordinating Editor at the Asian Development Bank Institute in Tokyo, Japan. Patricia holds a B.A. in Social Sciences from New College of Florida.
