Emma Jonsson

Emma is born and raised in Sweden where she recently completed her Bachelors degree in Development Studies at Lund University. Emma's concentration within her program was political science and she was fortunate to be able to conduct a field study in Tanzania, examining how people perceive democracy. This reflects on Emma's wish to in the future combine her studies in Development Studies with her interests in politics and human rights. Emma is passionate about travelling and to explore and live new cultures which has resulted in her living in several different countries and she is excited to add the U.S to the list! With the internship opportunity at Kiva, Emma is eager to gain knowledge on how development practice can look in reality, with focus on the supply side, and to broaden her view and interests to prepare for her future Masters program.
