Santa Elena Ii Group's story
The "Santa Elena II" women's group is in its 10th cycle within the Fundación Paraguaya Women's Committees program. It is made up of working women who support each other with the goal of improving their quality of life and that of their families through solidarity work and shared efforts. Although they have not yet been evaluated using the "Poverty Stoplight" tool, they all demonstrate a strong commitment to their activities and to the progress of their community.
Lina Rosalva is one of the committee members. She is a mother and lives with her children in the city, where she runs her small business selling miscellaneous items. Her commitment, perseverance, and desire to excel have made her a prominent figure in her community, serving as an inspiration to her fellow committee members and others close to her. With each step she takes, Lina reinforces her commitment to the well-being of her family and the growth of her business.
Lina will be able to purchase new products such as combs, hair colorants, and other items for sale. This will allow her to diversify her offering, attract more customers, and generate greater income. Many of her clients are neighbors, relatives, or even committee members, which strengthens the bond of solidarity between them. Furthermore, the constant support of the program's advisors encourages Lina to continue growing, demonstrating that with effort and support, it is possible to build a better future.
